Weddings

We in Biggar Kirk would be delighted to be part of your big day.

You do not need to be a member of Biggar Kirk to be married here.

The recommended donation towards the use of our Kirk building is £400.  The services the minister provides and the marriage preparation course are FREE of charge.

Funerals

As Christian people we are called to ‘mourn with those who mourn’ and offer Christian hope to everyone in all circumstances.  We are happy to serve at the very difficult time of the loss of a loved one.

Our funeral services can take place either in the church, at the crematorium or in the graveyard.  You do not have to be an active member of our congregation or indeed a Christian for us to help you in this way.  The service we provide, however, will always hold out the hope that is found in the goodnews of Jesus and the resurrection He promises to those who trust in Him.

There is no fee for a funeral service, but donations are gladly received.

Please see the leaflet ' Organising A Christian Funeral in Biggar Kirk' for details.

Baptism & Thanksgiving Services

In Biggar Kirk we are delighted to offer the sacrament of baptism to those who trust in the Lord Jesus and to the children of believers. We also gladly offer a service of thanksgiving for the birth of any child. If you are interested in baptism or would like to be baptised or have a service of thanksgiving for your child (or children) please have a word with the minister.

Please find below a downloadable leaflet that will hopefully answer your questions about the difference between a Thanksgiving Service and Baptism. Please ask the minister if there is anything more you would like to know or discuss.
